What, exactly, is an escape room?
An escape room is an immersive and interactive puzzle, typically, created around a central theme and designed to be completed in a certain amount of time. Best played in a group of friends, or family, escape rooms are the fastest growing, new entertainment in the nation!
Will I really be locked in for the whole game?
Technically, no. Yes, the doors will be locked, but we do have, built in, methods of exiting the room, if you are unable to complete the experience. Please note, that for our more thrilling games (The Bloody Elbow and The Cannibal’s Den) we require all members to play through, until the end. If someone uses the emergency panic button, it is “game over” for the whole group.
Does the room have a time limit?
Our time limits will vary, in the future, as we create more immersive, creative, and one-of-a-kind experiences, but, at this time, the limit for each room is 60 minutes.
I’ve played other rooms where they’ve paired us with strangers, do you do that?
All our games are private, which means that only those people you have reserved for, in your group, will play the room with you. If you are worried about your team being too small and would like to find a group to play with, there are a number of resources online, to help put together a team. However, we assure you, all of our games are possible with as few as 2 players.
Do you have an age limit?
No, because we are aware that you, likely, know your kids better than we do, though we do have age recommendations for our rooms:
Bloody Elbow - No one under 16 (For violent themes and mild nudity)
Da Vinci’s Challenge - No one under 13 (For puzzle difficulty)
Cannibal’s Den - No one under 16 (For violent and suspenseful themes)
The Red Giant - Acceptable for all ages.
Do I need to bring anything specific with me?
If it is your first time, you’ll want to bring your phone, to fill out our electronic waiver (or better yet, you can fill it out before you come!) but the only things that are required are your wits, smile, and friends! We recommend wearing clothing that is easy to move around in and highly recommend no high heels.
Is there anything that I won’t be able to bring in the room?
Absolutely no cameras, smartphones, or liquids will be allowed in the room. We have lockers at each of our locations for you to store these belongings as you play the room. You are also more than welcome to store other personal items for the duration of your game. Most of our lockers are even equipped with cables to charge your phones.
This sounds fun! How do I purchase tickets?
We do all of our reservations online. To book, click on the Escape Rooms tab, choose the room that looks the most fun, and press the BOOK NOW! button. You will then be led to the calendar where you can choose the perfect time for you and your group and see prices for all available time-slots.
Do I Need to Make a Reservation?
We heavily prefer that you make your reservation online before you come in, so you can be sure the game you are interested in is available, we do work on a “first come, first served,” basis, however, you are always welcome to walk in and we will do our best to accommodate your group.
What if I'm running late?
We require all participants to arrive, no later than, 10 minutes before the scheduled reservation time to fill out paperwork, use the restroom, and start the room introduction. If you are more than 5 minutes past your scheduled time, and our next show is available, you may have that slot, if we do not, you will be turned away without a refund. (Reminder that traffic is unpredictable in Los Angeles. We have spacious lobbies in each of our locations that are available for use, if you arrive early. No refunds will be provided for traffic, delayed flights, or not being able to find the location. There is a map included in every confirmation email that shows parking and entrance for each of our locations).
What if I need to reschedule an existing reservation?
We understand that things come up, and you won’t be able to anticipate every little thing, especially the further in advance you choose to book your experience. That is why, we are happy to reschedule your game with as little as 12 hours notice. However, if you have discovered that you are running late, and won’t make your show time, but are within the 12 hour period, you will be treated as a late game. Please reference the above for those cases.
What if our group has had a few drinks before coming in?
Here at Quest Room, we love a good time and we’re happy that you’ve already started a wonderful night. However, if you are noticeably intoxicated and one of our managers determines that you are unfit to play the game, you will not be allowed inside. Please save the celebrations until after you escape. Besides, you’ll want your wits about you inside the rooms!
What if I want to bring more people than the given capacity?
We recommend that you keep your group size to 6 and under, for maximum enjoyment, but we are happy to accommodate a maximum of 8 players in each of our, current, rooms. If you are interested in adding players on to an existing reservation, or would like to make a reservation for more than 6 players, feel free to give us a call at (310) 707-1240 and one of our staff will happily get you set up.
